Throughout the year Combat Poverty runs a series of lunchtime seminars which provide an informal forum to discuss poverty-related research, either supported by Combat Poverty or undertaken on an independent basis. Presentations from 2004 to date are available in the seminars archive - new presentations are usually available within a week of the seminar. From June 2009 Research Seminars will take place in Goldsmith House, Pearse Street, Dublin 2 - see below for location details
Research seminars are open to all. Unless otherwise indicated they take place in the Auditorium in Goldsmith House and last for 90 minutes over lunchtime (12:30pm-2pm). Tea/coffee and sandwiches are provided. Prior notification of attendance is essential for administrative purposes. Contact the Research Administrator at 01 704 3967 or email research.socialinclusion@welfare.ie to reserve a place. Please ensure that you arrive on time. Goldsmith House is a Department of Social and Family Affairs building adjacent to Pearse Street Garda Station. The Auditorium is on the ground floor.
